Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking a General Surgery candidate to join a team of three experienced General Surgeons. This collegial and supportive team is led by a knowledgeable Medical Director who is eager to provide mentorship, making it an excellent opportunity for new graduates. The role primarily involves "bread and butter" general surgery, with a focus on laparoscopic procedures, including Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS), and requires proficiency in endoscopy. While robotics are not currently available, Sky Lakes is planning an expansion in 2026, with robotics expected to be added within the next five years.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with two days dedicated to clinic, two days in the OR, and one day for administrative tasks.
- Compensation is structured as a base salary plus RVU, with a base range of $475,000 to $527,000, depending on experience.
- Both seasoned surgeons and new grads are welcome to apply, including class of 2027 graduates and J1/H1b candidates.
- Call rotation is 1:5 on weekdays and weekends, with an average of 75 procedures and around 100 clinic visits per month, though these numbers may vary slightly. Interventional Radiology (IR) support is available, and two dedicated surgical Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are part of the team, with each surgeon having an APP in the clinic one day per week.
- The group values a strong support system and teamwork and offers opportunities to work with academic programs, including rotating Family Medicine residents.
