Practice Opportunity Highlights
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 450+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a full-time physician (MD/DO) to practice at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa in an outpatient clinic located on the hospital campus. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa is part of the Saint Alphonsus Health System, which includes four hospitals spanning southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon.
Saint Alphonsus Health System currently employs three pain anesthesiologists, one nurse practitioner, and one psychologist between the two outpatient pain clinics located in Boise and Nampa. Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) in Boise also employs four advanced practice practitioners who provide inpatient pain management. This new position will support the growth of the Nampa based location as well as assist in leading the development of additional programs and outreach services provided to sister hospital communities throughout the region. The position will work closely with all pain providers within the system to define treatment protocols for pain management across the health system. Additionally, Saint Alphonsus has developed an acute spine program under the leadership of a non-interventional physiatrist to manage acute non-operative spine conditions.
Requirements include a strong clinical background, a capacity to support in leading the development of a clinically integrated regional pain service, and an interest in developing further outreach services in southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon. Both medical management and interventional capacities are important attributes of a qualified candidate. The candidate will support in the recruitment of additional advanced practice practitioners to support the program.
The opportunity also requires Idaho and Oregon licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC and other system hospitals as needed to strengthen the Health System’s pain service program across all the communities we serve. Saint Alphonsus Health System (SAHS) is the regional leader in telemedicine innovation and the successful candidate may have the opportunity to integrate the use of telemedicine into his/her practice to reach and better serve outlying communities. Experience with electronic health records is desirable. To learn more about Saint Alphonsus, visit www.saintalphonsus.org.
