Orthopaedic Surgery Opportunity at Growing Texas Institution

Job Detail: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Tenet Healthcare are collaborating to establish a new, 130 bed teaching hospital and Medical Office Building. As part of this collaboration, TTUHSC El Paso is establishing a number of new Departments and residency programs with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.
The successful candidate in this position will be employed by TTUHSC El Paso in a multidisciplinary practice at an academic rank of Instructor or higher commensurate with qualifications.
The candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care, provide teaching experiences for medical students and future resident physicians, as well as develop and deliver curriculum in support of a number of residencies including a transitional year program. The candidate will participate in committees, scholarly activities within the Department, Medical School and University. This position does not require trauma call.
The position requires:
- M.D./D.O. Degree
- Licensed in Texas, or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
- Completion of an ACGME approved residency in Orthopedics
- Board Certification / eligibility by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
- Individuals with additional training in a subspecialty field of Orthopedics are encouraged to apply
