Unique Breast Surgery Opportunity at Growing Texas Institution
Job Detail: TTUHSC El Paso and Tenet Healthcare are collaborating to develop a new, 130 bed teaching hospital and academic medical office building on El Paso's Westside.
The Medical Office Building includes a 6500 square foot, state of the art suite dedicated to a comprehensive breast center. The plans include three mammography units, two ultrasound rooms, a procedure room, and on site radiology, as well as conference and video conference spaces.
The successful candidate will lead the development of a comprehensive breast program at this location. Longer term plans include the development of a fellowship program in breast surgery and will be employed by TTUHSC El Paso at an academic rank commensurate with qualifications.. The candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care, provide teaching experiences for medical students from the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, as well future resident physicians.
The position requires a M.D/D.O degree; licensed in Texas or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas, completion of an ACGME residency program in General Surgery, fellowship training in Breast Surgery accredited by the Society of Surgical Oncologists, and board certification or eligibility in general surgery.
