LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK
DIVISION OF NEUROLOGY
SEEKING CANDIDATES FOR SEVERAL POSITIONS
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is a tertiary care health network in eastern Pennsylvania. The main campus is located one hour north of Philadelphia and 90 minutes west of NYC. Positions are available on our campuses in Allentown, Hazleton and East Stroudsburg, PA. We will consider general neurologists as well as specialists in headache, epilepsy, stroke and dementia. We offer great benefits and incentive programs.
The Division of Neurology at LVHN has experienced significant growth and remarkable accomplishments during the last several years. The division developed a new section of neurocritical care in 2015 to support the care of patients in our 15-bed Neuroscience ICU and now employs five fellowship-trained neurocritical care physicians. In July 2016, we welcomed the first class of residents into our fully accredited neurology residency program. Presently, we are expanding our tele-stroke and tele-neurology programs within the LVHN network and beyond. LVHN has been a Joint Commission-Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center since 2012.
Our newly hired physicians will have access to LVHN network neurologists within all of the subspecialty areas including headache, movement disorders, neurophysiology, epilepsy, MS, neuro critical care, neuro-oncology, stroke and a stroke telemedicine program. The LVHN main campus has 24-hour coverage for rapid response to traumatic brain injury and potential stroke patients as well as fellowship trained neuro-interventional radiologists. The network owns 5 helicopters for efficient patient transfer.
LVHN offers providers the strength of a large network, an integrated medical staff with easy access to Department Chairs and a platform to develop and grow your professional career. The communities served by LVHN include metropolitan-like cities, suburbs in the Pocono Mountains and rural communities with a moderate cost of living, fascinating history and small town charm. All of these areas are close – but not too close -- to Philadelphia and NYC.
