Practice Opportunity Highlights
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 325+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a Family Practitioner (MD/DO) to work full-time at its Copperpoint Family Medicine Clinic. Family Medicine providers at Copperpoint are dedicated to providing services for a full spectrum of patients to include birth to end of life. The family medicine practice at Copperpoint will experience infrequent pediatric admissions (typically newborns); there are but a handful (4-6) per year for which the family practitioner is responsible.
The affiliated hospital, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC), operates a 24-7 adult medicine hospitalist service as well as an OB hospitalist program. The adult medicine hospitalists are the primary admitting service for the vast majority of primary care providers in the Saint Alphonsus network. The group manages a high acuity medical service, is integrally involved with the stroke program, works in co-management with orthopedics, and is looking to further expand perioperative services and consult services.
Requirements include a strong clinical background and a desire to develop a full-time practice to support the patients and families the plaza serves. Endoscopic procedures are not part of the scope of practice for this position as these services are delivered by a Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance (SAHA) partner, Boise Digestive Health. As a member of the medical group, you will also need to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System’s family medicine program across all communities we serve. The opportunity also requires the granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC).
