Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa (SAMC-Nampa) is a community hospital in the Boise Treasure Valley. It is supported by a strong network of primary care providers and other surgical specialties that provides care to the over 200,000 residents within Canyon County. This position is for the first of two gastroenterology positions in Nampa. This position will work closely with the Saint Alphonsus General Surgery group in Nampa to provide care close to home. Currently many of the patients needing gastroenterology are referred to a gastroenterology group in Boise. As the first Gastroenterologist, this position will be backed up by the other general surgeons in Nampa for call coverage. SAMG is in process of implementing the Cerner PowerChart® EHR in the clinic which will be fully integrated with the hospital's inpatient EHR.

The opportunity also requires Idaho and Oregon licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC Nampa and other system hospitals as needed to strengthen the Health System’s gastroenterology program across all the communities we serve. Saint Alphonsus Health System (SAHS) is the regional leader in telemedicine innovation and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to integrate the use of telemedicine into his/her practice to reach and better serve outlying communities.
