Baptist Health is seeking BC/BE Neurology physicians to join the growing inpatient Neurology and Stroke team at the Baptist Neurological Institute. Sub-specialty training or experience in Stroke, Epilepsy, Neurohospitalist Medicine or Neurophysiology is preferred.
The inpatient neurology program at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville has recently expanded with four floors of the newest patient care tower dedicated to the care of neurological patients, including a neurosurgical suite and both intraoperative MRI and CT capabilities, a neuro-interventional lab, a dedicated 24 bed Neuro ICU; staffed by 4 fellowship trained intensivists and advanced practitioners; 48 nursing care beds for stroke and other medical and surgical neurological conditions. A comprehensive Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center under the leadership of Ricardo Hanel, MD and Eric Sauvageau, MD has also been implemented to serve the community of NE Florida and SE Georgia.

- Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center and Florida state designated Comprehensive Stroke center
- Aneurysm and acute stroke interventional care offering the latest techniques for stenting and flow diversion
- Epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) for evaluation of patients with seizures
- Multidisciplinary team caring for brain and spine tumors, offering incision free radiosurgery with Novalis
- Minimally invasive spine surgery expertise, the first in North Florida to perform robot assisted spine surgery with the Renaissance Robot
- Deep brain stimulation procedures as treatment for movement disorders
