Requirements:            Individual with a doctor of medicine (M.D.) with a current unrestricted medical license in Idaho, with valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA. Pediatric Surgery Certification or eligible board certification through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) (or obtain such boards within 3 years of employment).

Work Schedule:         Traditional work week plus call and hospital responsibilities, which will include evenings and weekends.  Typical schedule includes 36 hours per week of patient contact time plus hospital consults, rounding and call including Pediatric Trauma call.

Call:                          Share Pediatric Surgery, NICU and Pediatric Trauma call with another Pediatric Surgeon.

 EMR/EHR:              Inpatient EMR/CPOE: Cerner PowerChart® at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center facilities; in clinic use of Cerner Ambulatory EHR.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 380 provider multispecialty group practice that seek a B.S. /B.E. Pediatric Surgeon to assist in the Pediatric Surgery practice for a growing multi-specialty group and the regional need of the Saint Alphonsus Health System with a genuine interest in growing a full-spectrum Pediatric Surgery Practice and a commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.

Saint Alphonsus greatly values the input and leadership of our physicians and encourages each physician to actively participate in department meetings, SAMG Leadership Council and in matters of practice/service line development.

Requirements include a strong minimally invasive surgical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. In providing this support, you will obtain an Idaho medical license to maintain and strengthen the Health System's Pediatric Surgery Program across all communities we serve.
