Practice Scope: Outpatient pulmonary clinic duties at Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) Pulmonary Nampa and outreach locations. Pulmonary/Critical Care consultation duties at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa (SAMC-Nampa), West Valley Medical Center (WVMC), Vibra Hospital (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital).

Practice Model: Employment or Professional Services Agreement (PSA)

Status: 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE)

Availability: Immediate

Requirements: Individual with a doctor of medicine (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree (MD/DO); successful completion of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency program and Pulmonary Medicine fellowship training program; current, unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; board certification in Pulmonary Medicine (additional critical care board certification preferred) through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)  (or obtain such certifications within 3 years of employment/contract start).

Work Schedule: One week in three on hospital pulmonary consultation rotation. Two weeks out of three in outpatient pulmonary clinic and outpatient pulmonary procedures.

Call: 1:4 low intensity night call availability; 1:4 weekend rounding and call availability

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 350+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for an internal medicine and pulmonary trained physician (MD/DO) to join a robust pulmonary practice, providing services for a full spectrum of complex pulmonary and critically ill patients at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa, West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell and Vibra Hospital in Boise. Requirements include a strong internal medicine and pulmonary medicine background and fellowship training, a sincere desire to practice in a high quality pulmonary clinic and consultative ICU setting co-managing the treatment of complex, critically ill inpatients, collaborative relationship with adult hospitalist medicine services and other specialists.

The ideal candidate will commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care while demonstrating and modeling our organization’s core values of reverence, a commitment to those who are poor, justice, stewardship and integrity. As a member of the medical group, you will also need to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System’s critical care medicine program across all communities we serve.
