Practice Scope: Full-spectrum gynecologic oncology practice within Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) as part of a vibrant and growing Women's Health Services Program & Women's Specialty Center. Training/experience in traditional open surgical approaches with preference shown toward candidates possessing strong minimally invasive (laparoscopy and robotic surgery) skills.

Requirements: A doctor of medicine (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree (MD/DO); successful completion of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) accredited residency and gynecologic oncology fellowship training programs; current, unrestricted full license in Idaho (and eventually Oregon) to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board (and eventually Oregon Board) of Pharmacy and DEA; board certification and subspecialty certification through The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABO+G) (or obtain such certifications within 3 years of employment). Training/experience in conventional, open surgical approaches with preference shown toward candidates possessing strong minimally invasive (laparoscopy and robotic surgery) skills.
Work Schedule: Traditional work week, Monday through Friday;
no less than 32 hours of scheduled patient contact time
Call Coverage: Participate in system call rotation for gynecologic oncology services (with supportive call triage service) shared equitably with other eligible SAMG providers

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 350+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a gynecologic oncologist who is committed to a multi-disciplinary team-based approach to care and who will provide this care in a high quality and compassionate manner healing the body, mind and spirit.
Well-qualified candidates should be passionate and knowledgeable about women's health issues, possess a strong surgical background to include training and experience in traditional open as well as minimally invasive (laparoscopy and robotic surgery) approaches, and desire to develop an outpatient-based practice in support of our growing Women's Health Specialty Services within a regionally integrated healthcare system; experience with electronic health records (EHRs) is also advantageous.

The Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center (SA CCC) is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. And, in 2013, the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) granted the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center the Outstanding Achievement Award; the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center is among only 19% of the programs surveyed who achieved this prestigious distinction. Moreover, the program became Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) certified in 2014.
The SA CCC also collaborates with the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium, a research cooperative group administered by our Trinity Health partner, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
