Community Description:

In the southwestern corner of Alaska lies Bethel. As the gateway to the Yukon Delta, Bethel is home to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. It’s a place rich with the charms of Alaska. Both modern and filled with frontier life, Bethel will take you beyond what you expect and redefine what you think of Alaska.
Bethel is considered a hub to nearly 50 villages in our region. The villages in the southwest region of our state rely on Bethel, (Alaska’s third-busiest cargo hub) to be a pass-through for many modern commodities including fuel, groceries, and any other supplies one would need. The area is not for everyone. Physicians in the area share an adventurous spirit, are willing to be flexible and creative, and work well as part of a team. This may seem obvious, but someone must not mind the cold!
