Opportunity Description:

Atrium Heatlh - Levine Children's and their Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics of the Carolinas is seeking a dynamic BC/BE D&B Pediatrician to complement their team.

The division is growing to meet the needs of the expanding clinical and educational services in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Physician will provide services at Levine Children’s Hospital & Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital, both in the Charlotte, NC area.

  • Team consists of (4) Physicians and (3) Advanced Clinical Practitioners plus excellent clinical support staff
  • Physician will provide clinical care in subspecialty area with the evaluation and management of children with ADHD, Autism, and a wide range of developmental and behavioral problems.
  • Ancillary Services include: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Parent Support Groups, and classroom settings to teach social skills to the children and parenting skills to the caregivers.
  • Utilize an EMR, CPOE and digital radiology and diagnostic services
  • Hospital-employed, competitive salary plus bonus potential

Facility Description:

Atrium Health is an integrated health system of 45 facilities within the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Carolinas Medical Center, which includes Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH), is a major teaching affiliate of UNC at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. The Department of Pediatrics also offers in-patient pediatric services to include hospitalist and neonatology at 6 other Atrium Health hospitals in surrounding communities. 

At 236 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high patient acuity as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 25 different pediatric specialties.  There are 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including cardiac ICU), an 85-bed NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. Our educational mission includes a well-regarded Pediatric Residency Program and participating in the teaching of the UNC medical students who spend their 3rd and 4th years at CMC. LCH offers an excellent environment for clinical research and quality improvement work. LCH has been ranked among the Best Children’s Hospitals in the nation by U. S. News & World Report in six pediatric specialties for 2018-2019.  The Department of Pediatrics also offers in-patient pediatric services to include hospitalist and neonatology at 6 other Atrium Health hospitals in surrounding communities.
