Affiliated Hospital: Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Baker City, a critical access hospital (CAH)
Primary Location: Clinic and hospital-based practice on campus

Requirements: Individual with a doctor of medicine (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree (MD/DO); successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited general surgery residency program; current, unrestricted full medical license in Oregon and Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA; board certification through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment).
Work Schedule: Typical schedule involves a minimum of 32 hours per week of patient contact time to include clinic responsibilities as well as hospital procedures, rounding and consults plus evenings and weekend call.
Call: In development with the Saint Alphonsus Ontario General Surgery program.

Requirements include a strong clinical background and completion of a general surgery residency and ABS or AOBS board certification in general surgery.
